Grays Inn Room

Located in a secluded end section of the Inn House is the romantic and dramatic Grays Inn Room. Grays Inn is thought to be the name of the original settlement and is part of the Inn at Huntingfield Creek’s history.

Upscale, country elegance describes this corner end room that offers panoramic views of the pond and Pergola Garden, meadows and front lawns. The room is richly decorated with navy-painted walls, antique cherry furnishings with crisp nautical accents. A love seat and heirloom writing desk offer comfort and practicality.

The original hardwood floor is graced by a precious Persian carpet. A cozy window seat, king-size Tempur-Pedic-topped bed, fine linens, and luxury bedding complete the room, which is spacious enough to accommodate an extra bed (approximately 425 square feet). Mini-fridge, Inn at Huntingfield Creek Spa robes, and ‘welcome’ treat are all part of our Chesapeake hospitality. On the second floor up a broad staircase.

Amenities

We highly recommend a springtime bike trip in Rock Hall, Maryland! The property was in full bloom with tulips, irises, cherry blossoms, and redbud trees, and we had a glorious time biking from the inn to the Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge and then through town. Our cottage was the perfect size for us to unwind and relax, and the brief walk to their private pier allowed us to see a mesmerizing sunset over the water. Early evenings were spent at the Inn meeting incredible guests and drinking wine and eating cookies. Our hot breakfasts were delicious and ample. This is a luxury Inn without being too posh. One night we drove to Chestertown for dinner - it was an easy distance to travel. We loved everything about this Inn and can't wait to go back.

Huntingfield Room

With its herbal green-colored walls, rich wood furnishings, and hunt-print fabrics, the striking Huntingfield Room honors part of the bed and breakfast inns history as a hunting lodge. Original European hunt-themed art graces the wall of this comfortable room of approximately 400 square feet.

Dramatic skylights and a vaulted ceiling are highlights of the room, which includes a luxury Tempur-Pedic topped king size bed and fine linens. The dramatic bathroom with shower features gorgeous floral-on-black wallpaper. Large enough to comfortably accommodate an extra twin roll-away bed, the Huntingfield also boasts a charming window seat overlooking the front lawns.

Two refinished antique rocking chairs that grace an exotic oriental rug are a perfect place for reading. Equipped with a mini-fridge for guest convenience, Huntingfield, like all the Inn rooms, also sports Inn-monogrammed spa robes, a mini-fridge, and a ‘welcome’ treat. Located on the second floor up a broad staircase.

Amenities

The Inn at Huntingfield Creek is a gorgeous and relaxing with a fantastic location on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The property is spacious and feels like a private resort, with extra touches abound throughout. The innkeepers are wonderful and the staff is attentive. We could ride our bikes or theirs, kayak in the bay, and love on their beautiful and exceptionally well-trained pups. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and each room has a small fridge and coffee maker. There are also water bottles, beer, wine, and huge salted chocolate chip cookies in the library gathering space. There are multiple locations to gather and relax, both inside and outside. We will definitely return to this beautiful and comfortable inn!

Chester Room

The Chester River plays a big part in Kent County’s history, hence the name of this room. Creamy tones and dramatic plush bedding complement the lovely antique furnishings, charming artwork, and exposed wood beam ceiling in the spacious Chester Room make this one of our most popular rooms at our bed and breakfast.

With both east and west-facing windows, this room affords guests magnificent sunrise and sunset views overlooking the front and back lawns. The room is complete with a heavenly king-size bed with fine linens and elegant bedding. Two comfy reading chairs and fine accents grace this well-sized room of approximately 425 square feet.

The Chester Room also offers the largest bathroom in the House with a tub and shower combination. The crisp red and white toile wallpaper compliments the black and white tile floor. Of course, cozy spa robes, mini-fridge, and a ‘welcome’ treat are just part of the hospitality! This room can accommodate an extra bed. Located on the second floor up a broad staircase.

Amenities

We arrived at the lovely Inn at Rock Hall and were enthusiastically greeted by two beautiful, happy dogs, Bayla and Rosie. We had never been so well-received by family or relatives as we were by these two tail-wagging, enthusiastic dogs. They are affectionate and well-behaved, and they get to enjoy the guests' attention, the water, and the acreage with no restraints. We both felt very welcomed. The Inn is beautiful and sits on 70 acres of bay frontage, bordered by trees, bushes, and many songbirds. The innkeepers are friendly, the cottage was spacious and clean, and the grounds were well-kept. Breakfast was delicious. Dinner at the Blue Heron was recommended, and the crabcakes there were the best either of us has had. We visited the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and saw nine herons wading in shallow water and iridescent tree swallows building a nest. We highly recommend a visit to this lovely Eastern Shore area.

Guests will be charmed by the original artwork and harmonious furnishings. Original yellow pinewood, from the old manor house, graces the floors. The generously sized red and white toile bath is equipped with a shower, single vanity, toilet, and smart black and white tile flooring.

Sassafras Room offers lovely views of the sprawling front lawn and lush sunflower fields in mid-Summer and fields to the rear. Amenities

We had a charming, and romantic getaway at Eastern Shores in Huntingfield Creek Inn. We found this place when we were looking for a bed and breakfast for our engagement weekend. January is the off season for Eastern Shore tourism, and the inn had several spots available. We were originally booked in a small room in the main house, but Joanne generously upgraded us to one of the cottages, and we're both so grateful she did. The cottage was clean, cozy, and quiet. It was a chilly weekend, and we took advantage of the gas fireplace and the hot tub. The shower was modern, and in the room, there was a comfortable sitting chair and a high-top table with two chairs, which I used to do some work Friday evening before my boyfriend arrived. The inn is on a huge expanse of land, surrounded by farms. It's beautiful and peaceful, a rural getaway with all the creature comforts. Breakfast was hearty, plentiful, and delicious, with lots of options for me, a vegetarian. Jim is very gregarious and entertains the guests during breakfast. He pointed out to us a trail on the property that leads to a spot on the bay, which was where we decided to propose to one another. The inn is within a half hour drive of Chestertown, the closest actual town. That's where we spent much of our Saturday afternoon and evening. It's a quaint river town, with an endless record store, a maze of a bookstore, enticing art galleries, and restaurants with tasty fare. I had some concerns about the area because we're a gay, interracial couple, but everyone was super nice to us. We didn't have a single bad experience because of my race or our sexual orientation. Jim and Joanne were very congratulatory when we told them we had gotten engaged, and Joanne then showed us their wedding venue digs, noting that they had hosted several same-sex nuptials. Without a doubt, we would stay here again. I don't know if it will become an annual tradition, but I look forward to coming here for future anniversaries and special occasions.

We had an exceptional getaway with superb hosts at the cottages. We absolutely loved the storytelling about the history of the bed and breakfast, but Maggie, Rosie, and Baila stole our hearts. These house dogs were wonderful hosts as well and gave us personal tours of the property. The food was delicious, and we can't say enough about the outstanding quality of service. Thank you for everything Maryland! Rock Hall Rocks!
