A Maryland Bed and Breakfast Inn Huntingfield Manor, nestled on Kent County’s historic land parcel in Maryland, tells a captivating tale of its origins. This 1200-acre estate, originally deeded by Lord Baltimore to Maryland Eastern Shore’s pioneering settler, Thomas Ringgold, offers a rich blend of history and charm.Explore the legends surrounding Huntingfield, fondly named ‘The Prevention of Inconvenience’ due to its excellent moorings and cart paths. An esteemed local archaeologist speculates that this land may have once been a Native American settlement, later serving as a British Stamping House, a historical tax bureau. In the early 1900s, the estate boasted a horse racing track. Over time, it transformed into a lavish hunt club, thanks to its abundant waterfowl and game.
